I'm such a camwhore (part 2: Waterworks, rides and jobs)

So Part 2 is gonna be on Waterworks, the various rides in the South side as well the different lifeguard jobs and positions.

Here goes...

WaterWorks!!! It's embarrassing to say this but I think this is my first time noticing the sign...the lifeguards always go in through the back door and the side gate

First up is tidal wave bay. I'm currently positioned here

U will always find the most people here...if Big Wave Bay is not open

There's a total of 6 zones in Tidal Wave Bay So here's Zone 1 and 2 (Z1, Z2)...can't really see who from my team (STINGRAYS...YEAH!!!) is on the stand

And here's how the amusement park makes money...

Here's Pipeline peak...It's the only place where i've not work before. I know they have 2 unloaders here, 2 despatchers (I think) and someone who packs the tube.

Looks exciting rite!?

And we have Zoom Flume rite here. I used to work here until i got transferred to the Splashhouse

Here we can see the lifeguard in Zoom Flume Pool (ZFP). I think the 2 of them are rotating shift

And here's the Zoom Flume Guard (ZFG) who's suppose to scan the water...although i do think that this position is kinda redundant. The water is only knee level and the pool is so small

So there's suppose to be a Zoom Flume Despatch (ZFD) at the top of this tower...but I'm lazy to climb up. So he's just suppose to check the height of the riders, ensures that everyone sits properly and despatches the tube down. The good perk abt this position is that u get to ride the tube down (booooring) when u are rotated out.

Big Wave Bay! I used to work here until they send the Stingrays over to Tidal Wave Bay. It's closed on most days, only open when there's an overwhelming number of people in WaterWorks

So here's Zone 1 and 2 (Z1, Z2) of Big Wave Bay

Zone 3 and 4...

Zone 5 and 6...

Not forgettin the 2 beach guards, Zone 8 and 9. Dun ask me where's 7

haha...saw Lauren "acting productive"

Finally at the Splashhouse. The current home of the Stingrays!!!

Here's Dylan at the Splashhouse Monitor (SM) position. Suppose to patrol up and down to check for anything that happens in the Splashhouse and watch the huge bucket when it offloads it water to the people below

And we have Chris at the Splashhouse Unloader (SU) postion. It's my personal favourite. U have things to do but u do not have to rush to finish it. He's giving instructions to the 2 person in the slides to exit from the outer side of the individual slides

And then he goes and check both the red and white slides for things in the slide, water level, water clarity etc.

So once the slides are cleared, he will show both thumbs up to the despatch.

So Dilem is at the Splashhouse Despatch (D1) position. So after receiving Chris' thumbs up, she signals back, indicating that she'll be sending 2 more kids down

For some reason, there's no one in the D2 (despatch 2) position...probably some breakdown. So we have 2 despatchs to one unloader. I hate the despatch postion the most...always having to control crazy kids who charges down the slide without my position or having to appease impatient guests (since there's only 1 unloader to 2 despatchs)

And here we are at BareFootBeach...where all the little kids play. Used to work here until i got transferred

Here's Christina in position B1...basically just keep an eye on the slide. Kids always like running up the slide (they need a lesson in gravity...the apple dropped on Newton's head, not up and hit him). I like this spot as well

Was in time to catch Joshua rotating her...so he follows behind her

A Bottom head sweep at the end of the patrol...and then Joshua will be in front

Here's postion B2 doing a rotation as well. I hate B2 cos we are suppose to have a 270 degree of vision...makes it so dizzy when i patrol

Once again, the bottom head sweep

For some reason, B3 is open today. We only open B3 when there's a lot of kids at BareFoot...only done B3 once, but it's the easiest position at BareFoot

And we bought a funnel cake...courtesy from Michelle. Look at the amount of cream and the size of it.

And we definitely can't forgot the trailer...where we have our lockers, meals and breaks there.

Here's how it looks on the inside...it's not much, but it's home to all lifeguards here

Internal audit score...Stingrays in 2nd

Day off request (DOR) forms...pretty self explanatory

And here's where we put our name if we need more hours...pool cleaning, gate opening and gate closing etc

The other side of the trailer and the way out

So this is it...I've basically covered my job here briefly. As u can see, we are pretty professional with our scanning of the water, rotating in/out, ride safety etc...unlike those in Singapore where they just hide behind their shades and ogle or sleep. We even have monthly external audits, internal audits, bi-weekly in-service training, weekly scenario training. It's a tough job but i absolute adore it

Mark the CAMWHORE

PS: Part 3 is on it's way...stay tuned
